Born the tiny runt of our Famous Board Games Litter, it didn’t take Mrs.Pea very long to make her mark! She is named for the game of Clue, the character Mrs. Peacock. As Mrs. Pea developed from week to week, we fell more in love with her. She has this persona that just sucks you right in and you can’t help but smile and fall in love. When it came time to decide where she will go, we just couldn’t let her go. We did not anticipate keeping two girls from this litter, however we have thoroughly enjoyed having her a part of our lives!

We love her sweet, angelic expression but don’t let that fool ya! Lol! She has a mind of her own and typical of any runt, she’ll be sure she’ll try her best to get her way. Michael calls her ‘the negotiator.’ She’s smart as a whip, so much so that she knows how to let herself out of her kennel to be loose whenever she wants to. We have to rig it so that she cannot do that but if we’re not paying close attention, she knows when it’s loose and will flip the latch and out she comes quite pleased with herself! It makes us smile.

She’s only ever been to one show, the 2019 American Bloodhound Club National Specialty, where she was only a 14 month old puppy. Though she was a little unsure at first, she did so well and made us so proud of how well she showed. Not long after this the Covid pandemic hit and she hasn’t been shown since.

Michael has been training with Mrs. Pea to become his working partner on the trail. She successfully passed her American Bloodhound Club instinct test (EECT) and then went on to pass her mantrailer title (MT).

Mrs. Pea has had one litter and there were only two puppies in that litter. She was a great mother to them and we see a lot of her in them!

What a fun girl she has been and we are so thankful she is part of our family! She keeps us chuckling and smiling at her frequently, what a character!
